Freshly Made Sketch 446

It's been a while since I have posted, but I haven't stopped creating.  I have continued to try some new techniques and keep it fresh!  This sketch was an open canvas, but in a shape that I don't use very often.  It's a great way to change things up and challenge my creativity!

I used the sentiment from the God is Good set from Reverse Confetti.  I liked the larger size of this sentiment on the slim-line card, because it doesn't get lost, but there is still plenty of room for a pretty background!

I started with some watercolor paper, embossed the flowers with clear embossing powder, and painted them in with distress oxide inks.  I love how I used only one color for the background (chipped sapphire), but the way I painted (like a newbie) actually gave it some dimension and color variation.

I enjoyed the new card size so much, I immediately made another one with that size.  I see more of these in my future!

Here's the sketch:

Have a great day!
